Lava Iris Atom 2X - The TeCake

Lava Mobiles has silently unveiled its new smartphone, Iris Atom 2X, which has been found listed on an e-commerce site, eBay.in with a price tag of Rs. 4,499 in Black and White color variants. However, the company hasn’t made an official announcement regarding the same.

The ultra-affordable Lava Iris Atom 2X smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, supported by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, that is coupled with 1GB od RAM. For storage purposes, the smartphone vendor has provided an 8GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB by using a microSD card.

The handset is front with a couple of 4.5-inch FWVGA 480p IPS display and 0.3-megapixwel(VGA) of secondary camera, while the back flaunts a 5-megapixel of primary image shooting tool, featured with an LED flash. It also comes with 2000 mAh of battery under the hood.

On connectivity front, the smartphone features 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack as options. Besides this, it also boasts an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

With Iris Atom 2X, the firm has improved the RAM and battery of the handset as compared to its Iris Atom 2 smartphone, which was launched in August this year. The Lava Iris Atom 2 smartphone sports a 512MB of RAM, 1700 mAh of battery and almost same rest of the specification. It has also updated the OS in Iris Atom 2X, as the former runs on Android 4.4 KitKat

Moreover, it has been also reported that to set up an electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC) on 100 acres of land along the Yamuna Expressway, Lava International has received an allotment letter by the Development Authority. Currently, the company is owning a research & development centre in India and an in-house product testing set-up in China.
