In the trend of updating the mobile operating system, HTC One users from India, Singapore and Malaysia reported that they are getting an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Moreover, the company reported that HTC One users will get an OTA (over-the-air) update, which is named as ver7.21.707.105 and will be of 774.82MB in size. The notifications to the handsets were, however, delivered through Google’s servers.
According to the TeCake technical staff, the smartphone users could manually check for an update by simply visiting Settings > About Phone > System updates. It is recommended to the users that they should keep the battery charged more than 30 percent, before updating the device software.
Moreover, after updating the HTC device with the latest rolled out firmware, it will get a new lock screen and notification UI, the latest recent apps interface, a search option within settings and various bug fixes.
Unexpectedly, the android update doesn’t offer the new Sense 7 UI that was found on the One M9 and it doesn’t seem that the phone will be getting a customUI or an another OS update in the future either. Mo

The manufacturer reported that the after upgrading the smartphone to the 5.0 OS the users will experience better battery backup and several performance and security improvements and bug fixes as well. Also, the update sports Google’s Material Design Language-inspired interface and all pre-installed updated Google Apps.
