Gionee Pioneer P5W launched in 5 vibrant colors at Rs. 6499

A month ahead of color festival Holi, Gionee has started its colourful celebration with the launch of a new smartphone, Pioneer P5W, which will be available in 5 attractive colours such as white, black, blue, red and yellow. The new device under the Pioneer series of smartphones has been launched on Monday at a pocket-friendly price of Rs. 6,499.

The Pioneer P5W smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo 3.1 UI out-of-the-box and bears a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution featuring Oncell technology. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB RAM.In camera section, the device features a 5-megapixel camera on the rear with LED flash along with a 2-megapixel shooter for selfie purpose. The P5W also includes features like beautification option, filters, Panorama and Mood cards for better photographs.

The dual-SIM 3G measures 143.3 x 72 x 8.9 mm and weighs 157 grams. The device is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery and claims to give a talk time of 22 hr (2 G)/ 10 hr (3 G). The P5W has a new face unlock feature called the AMI lock, through which one can scan the face to unlock their phone within 0.5 seconds.

The Pioneer P5W also features a Chameleon feature through which the immersive user interface matches the phone’s body color and can be changed also.
