The Chinese smartphone manufacturing major, Gionee has announced that it is planning to launch its Marathon M5 smartphone in India, which has made its debut in China at CNY 2,299(~Rs. 23,00).
The highlighting feature of the Gionee Marathon M5 smartphone is its battery backup as the handset flaunts two 3010 mAh of batteries that delivers 6020 mAh of power supply in total. The company claims that the handset offers a power backup of 4 days after getting it fully charged and on standard usage. While its extreme mode boosts the standby time of the device to 62 hours at 5% remaining battery life.
Also, the smartphone sports reverse charging that allows users to use it as a power bank to charge other devices. Now the question here arises that the gigantic battery of Marathon M5 could take too long for charging, however, thanks to its fast charging system, which allows the device to quickly charge in few minutes. But we can’t tell you in detail until getting hands on to the handset.
Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the smartphone is powered with by a 1.5GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, which is coupled with a 2GB of RAM. Along with the 16Gb internal storage and microSD card support up to 128GB, the handset features a 13-megapixel of primary camera at the back paired with a 5-megapixel of front facing camera and a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with 720×1280 pixel of resolution, over the leaf.
The Gionee Marathon M5 was launch along with the Elife E8 in June, this year. While, Elife E8 was introduced in Indian market at Rs. 34,999, last month.
