Asus Zenfone Max - The TeCake

Asus India has added a new smartphone in its ZenFone Series with the launch of Zenfone Max. Having a price tag of Rs.9,999, this phone is now available for pre-orders through Flipkart and Amazon from Monday. While, the tentative release date is stated by the retailer as the 14th of January. It further added that the sale would also be seen at Asus Exclusive stores as well as other retailers from the 2nd fortnight of January. The smartphone was first showcased in India last year in August.

A gigantic non-removable battery 5000 mAh battery is the biggest highlight of the Asus ZenFone Max, which also enables the handset to charge other devices as a power bank. The company claims that the smartphone is capable of delivering around 914 hours of standby time as well as 38 hours of talk time. With such a large battery, Zenfone Max would be seen competing against various handsets.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone flaunts a 5.5 inch HD IPS display. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, supported by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor that is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with an inbuilt storage of capacity 16 GB, which can be expanded further up to 64GB. Sporting a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, the phone also has a 5-megapixel front facing camera.

Similar to other Zenfone Series Smartphones, Zenfone is also supportive of Indian LTE bands. It packs ambient light sensors, proximity, compass and accelerometer.  Options of connectivity include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Glonass, GPS, EDGE, GPRS and 3G.
