After a little wait, the Asus ZenFone Go smartphone is now available in the markets with a price tag of Rs. 7,999. The Taiwanese giant has listed the handset on its official website and Flipkart, about a month ago.
The smartphone is fronted with a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels of resolution and an onboard 2-megapixel secondary camera above it. Meanwhile, it also features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture at its back.
It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ZenUI supported by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6580) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, unlike its predecessors which were integrated with Intel or Qualcomm chipsets.With dual micro-SIM card support, the handset comes with an 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 64GB by using a microSD card. It is fueled with a 2070 mAh of battery.
On connectivity front, the new ZenFone series device offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB as options. It measures 144.5x71x9.98mm in dimensions and weighs 135 grams. The ZenFone Go packs accelerometer, e-compass, proximity, and ambient light sensors.
The Asus ZenFone Go will be available for sale at Asus exclusive stores and several online retail channels in Black, White, and Red color variants.
