Ever wondered what happened to your favorite mismatched couple of Tanu and Manu after getting married off in 2011? The First trailer released of Tanu Weds Manu Returns starring Kangna Ranaut, R Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill & Deepak Dobriyal tells it all. Director Anand L. Rai released the first trailer of Tanu weds Manu returns on 14th April 2015, and it has the promise of a family comedy hit for the summer.
The trailer shows the messy and wild Tanu being herself even after marriage and causing ruckus all around while Manu played by Madhavan tries damage control. Then she leaves her home and Manu is shown in a new city, maybe in search of his wife, where he comes face to face with Tanu’s doppelganger, Kusum, a student in DU with Haryanvi dialect. What happens next is what the film is all about?
This film will begin where the couple left off. Director Anand says that in all the Bollywood masala they never show what happens after the marriage. Although it might be true for some, we do have our fair share of films that did portray after married life like Chalte Chalte (Shah Rukh Khan), Vivaah (Shahid Kapoor), Namastey London (Akshay Kumar) and Dhadkan (Sunil Shetty). Trust us, we do have a list. So, what makes this one any different?
Well, for starters this movie will encase Kangna in a double role and it wouldn’t follow a series of serious and dramatic situations, but those of hysterical laughter causing ones where you’ll be left holding your belly with fun induced dialogues and scenes.
“I had a tough time with the dialect but I had a tutor on the set. The conflict was always between the two – Tanuja Trivedi and Datto. Datto is adorable, fearless, and she has purity. On the other hand, Tanu is wild and a little bit selfish. Tanuja used to be the real heroine, but Datto came into the scene and stole the show.” Kangna Ranaut said when asked about her double role in the film.
As the tag line suggests that you need a part two to figure out your true love, we suggest that you make a date in your schedule for May 22 to watch this movie.
