The Aarushi Murder Mystery Case which took place in Noida in May 2008 has been focused in this film and unlike the unsolved case, this case actually does get solved in the end.
The film stars Kay Kay Menon, Ashish Vidyarthi, Tisca Chopra, Mita Vashisht, Kunal Sharma, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, Nimai Bali and is directed by Manish Gupta. It was a low budget film packed with turns and reasons and why’s at every point.
The story of the film is set in Mumbai instead of Noida where a daughter of two well to do doctors is found dead in her room with her throat slit. The servant is missing and is branded the prime suspect. But then the police find some proof that the father might be behind it all and puts him behind the bars. The case is then handed over to the CBI. This is where Kay Kay Menon comes in and tries to solve the case.
What did for the movie was the pace that didn’t let the viewers to fall asleep or leave the hall. The performances by the actors was astounding and has been appreciated by all. They gripped their audience with their acting and made them sit through the whole movie.
What didn’t work for the movie was the fact that it was released side by side with ‘Khamoshiyan’ a supernatural erotic thriller and ‘Hawaaizaada’ a sci-fi movie. Also, it didn’t have high budget actors to make enough people buy the tickets.
In conclusion, it was an average movie with interesting twists and the turns and the ending is capable enough to blow your mind away. The movie has been a good attempt to recreate the Aarushi murder mystery case.
Our take on this film would be that if murder mystery entices you, then you may definitely give this flick a go.Tags: Aarushi Murder case, Bollywood, Kay Kay Menon, Rahasya, Review, Tisca Chopra
