The legendary Hollywood actor Christopher Lee died on June 7 at the age of 93. He admitted to the Hospital at the same day as he was complaining about respiratory problems, the actor is known for the his films like, “Dracula” and “Lord of the Rings”.
Megastar of India Amitabh Bachchan has remembered the “great” flashback he shared with the Hollywood classic actor Christopher Lee in South Africa. Amitabh Bachchan met with the veteran artist Christopher Lee during his stint as a jury for Miss. World pageant.
Regarding Christopher Lee the 72-year-old Indian actor wrote on his blog site, “Some years ago I was invited to be on the jury for the Miss. World contest, in South Africa, soon after the year after our own Miss. World debacle in ABCL.”
“Sir Christopher Lee was on the panel of judges with us, and I remember the wonderful time spent with him during the contest. He was a great company… played a few rounds of golf with him during off moment a proficient golfer…”
The “Piku” actor further wrote that he missed the chance of meeting the “Dracula” actor when he travelled to India in a shoot for ‘Jinnah biopic’ released in 1998. He wrote, “A few years later I got a note from him that he was on his way to India to film… A chapter in history of pre-independent India…. He was playing Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan”.
“I was travelling and could not respond to him… Sad that I missed his company and opportunity to host him here in Mumbai… And today he has left this world…. Prayers and peace in condolence”, Big B added further.
Epic actor Christopher died on June 7, however, the British media reported the news on June 11 as the actor’s wife wished to inform family members first.
