It is also famous by the name OK Kanmani.
Reason 1: It is written, directed and produced by Mani Ratnam.
Reason 2: The music composition is by our very own Oscar-winning, A. R. Rahman.
Reason 3: It will be an eye opener for confused souls. The film has Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen as protagonists portraying a young couple in a live-in relationship and was said to be a “reflection of the modern mindset of urban India”, dealing with issues such as marriage and traditional values. It’s a 21st-century love story where Aadhi and Tara have both have different dreams. Aadhi wants to go to the United States. While Tara is an architect, who wants to go and study in Paris. How a romance blossoms between the two and where their relationship leads them in six months is what director Mani Ratnam has commendably captured in a picturesque manner in O Kadhal Kanmani.
Reason 4: Although just one song isn’t enough, A.R. Rahman’s “Mental Manadhil” is a hit among everyone and is such an uplifting tune, that your feet starts tapping to the music involuntarily the moment you hear it. The actors while on the premiere of the film in Dubai, sang it for its audience which made the audience dance in joy.
Reason 5: Another fun fact about this movie is that, it has used the technique of sync sound and Mani Ratnam is so impressed by it that he intends to use this in his other films also. Sync sound refers to sound recorded at the time of filming a movie. Previously films such as “Lagaan”, “Dil Chahta Hai” and “Rock On!!” have also used sync sound while shooting.
This film is a must watch for every Indian who is in dilemma over relationship and career as this movie will clear some things on a higher level for you.Tags: 5 reasons, A.R. Rahman, Bollywood, Entertainment, Mani Ratnam, O Kadhal Kanmani, Tollywood
