Aamir Khan had been recently rumored to be working in an Indo-Chinese production with Chinese action-comedy king Jackie Chan. In his recent visit to China for premiere of his film ‘PK’, Khan had been invited to Jackie Chan’s house by the actor himself and hence the rumors of them working together were cultivated.
But Aamir Khan has finally cleared the air saying that although it would be an honor to work with Chan, Aamir won’t be able to make it, due to its time clashes with his upcoming film ‘Dangal’.
“Jackie is planning that film with director Stanley Tong, who has made number of Jackie’s films. It is not possible for me to do it (Film named Kung Fu Yoga). I would have loved to do it. They are shooting in September-October and that time I will be busy with ‘Dangal’. I can start any film in August-September next year,” Aamir said when asked about him working with Jackie Chan.
Dangal is the real life story adaptation of the life of the Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in which Aamir Khan is portraying the role of Mahavir to represent the struggles faced by him in his life to reach at his success point.
Apparently, Kung Fu Yoga, the film that has been offered to Aamir, is part of the three-film agreement signed between India and China during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to India in 2014. When he saw the rising popularity of Bollywood films in China, he decided to have an agreement with India. This agreement is meant to help both the countries.
Both the actors are highly professionals and have a respect for each other’s culture. They may not be doing any film together now, but what can we say about the future. Maybe we get to see the duo in the future in some other equally awesome film.
