Air India has seemingly turned the tides by having a net profit of Rs 14.6 crores in December 2014, followed by a healthy increase in both passenger and cargo revenues.

The fare list on the company’s website exhibited that flight fares on the busiest Delhi-Mumbai route which costs about an average around Rs 6,000 will be deducted to nearly Rs 3,000 one way, under this new scheme.

The airline also mentioned that its “Spring Sales” offers will consist of an all expenses inclusive on the domestic route commencing at Rs 1,557.

All passengers travelling by air are expected to be benefited from this scheme as other airlines are most likely to follow in AI’s footsteps and announce their share of discounted airfare offers to maintain the competitive edge.
